Our award winning company was the brainchild
of its founding directors Matt Burge and Marc
Winchester who identified an opportunity in
the mobile sector and set up CommsDirect in
June 2003.

Today – 2007!
Our company has achieved extraordinary levels
of growth since start-up nearly 4 years ago –
from two employees to more than 400.

We have developed very strong relationships
with mobile networks and distributors alike with
modern contact centre offices in Cardiff
and Swansea looking after more than
500,000 customers.

In our mobile phone business, we have grown
from selling 40 phones in our first month to
selling a phone every 40 seconds of the
working day.

We have invested in a new head office
facility and state-of-the-art contact
centre based in Cardiff that will be ready for
occupation in late 2007. Our new facility
will create over 250 new positions
as the company grows.

We have given the highest priority to
implementing quality procedures and processes.
We have been awarded the widely recognised
ISO 9001 accreditation for the 2nd year running
– demonstrating our commitment to best practice
ensuring that our support services and customer
care keep head of our sales growth.

May 2007 – Our latest achievement being
crowned Western Mail “Welsh Company of
the Year 2007- has been phenomenal and
follows on from 2006, a very special year
for CommsDirect as we won a number of
prestigious awards including The Best New
Business in Britain (HSBC) and winner of
Wales Fast Growth 50 Award. [Our Awards]

In June 2006, CommsDirect secured the
largest sponsorship deal in Welsh club
football history, by signing an initial two
year exclusive deal with Cardiff City and
became a partner, not just a sponsor.

recently re-branded from Communications
Direct to CommsDirect in Spring 2007.
